WAYZATA, Minn. — Authorities say an elderly woman and a man in his 30s were pulled from a submerged car which broke through the ice on Lake Minnetonka.
Hennepin County Sheriff’s Maj. Darrell Huggett says dispatchers got a call from the man about 3:30 p.m. Saturday saying his car had broken through the ice on Gray’s Bay.
Emergency crews responded and found the car submerged. The Hennepin County dive team helped pull the man and woman from the car. KARE-TV reports they were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, one by air and the other by ambulance. Their conditions were unavailable.
Officials say it’s the 14th vehicle that’s broken through the ice on Lake Minnetonka this season
