The Minnesota Vikings have a big division rivalry tonight against the Chicago Bears on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
Dalvin Cook hopes to continue his success on the ground tonight. He’s coming off back-to-back games with over 200 yards from scrimmage. Coming into Week 10 of the season, he led the league in rushing yards.
The Bears will have a different play-caller on offense, with coach Matt Nagy handing those duties to coordinator Bill Lazor, in an effort to spark a unit that ranks among the National Football League’s worst.
The Vikings currently hold last place in the NFC North with a record of 3-5.
The 2020 National Basketball Association draft is being held virtually Wednesday night. The Minnesota Timberwolves have the number one pick in this year’s draft.
ESPN’s top three prospects are Lamelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, and James Wiseman. ESPN’s latest prospect rankings give the strengths and weaknesses of all of those players.
The Wolves are expected to draft one of those players, or they could trade the pick. The last time they had the first pick in 2015, they drafted star Center Karl-Anthony Towns.
Last Friday the Minnesota Gophers were defeated by the Iowa Hawkeyes 35-7.
Minnesota’s Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 144 yards on 33 attempts, but the junior tailback who entered the evening with the highest rushing average in the FBS, didn’t come close to controlling the game like the last two weeks.
Minnesota’s Tanner Morgan finished 16 of 33 for 167 yards passing — hitting Rashod Bateman eight times for 111 yards and the lone touchdown with 14 seconds left.
Their record now drops to 1-3.
Head Coach PJ Fleck and the team look to bounce back Friday against Purdue.
