Twenty-eight positive COVID-19 cases were reported to the Center for Well-Being during the week of November 5.

Twenty-five of the positive cases came from the St. Paul campus while three came from the Minneapolis campus. Twenty-two cases were students and six were employees.

“For the week ending Nov. 5, multiple cases were tied to a number of off-campus events (not affiliated with the university) with large groups of people, including dance events, off-campus parties, church retreats and others,” the COVID-19 Dashboard said.

As of November 8, the Center for Well-Being reported an 89.4% university-wide vaccination rate with a 92.6% rate among employees and an 88.6% rate among students.

The COVID-19 Dashboard continues to report that the total number of cases is within a manageable range and there is currently no evidence of classroom transmission.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported that 3,486,879 Minnesotans have at least one vaccine dose and that 3,324,363 Minnesotans have completed the vaccine series as of November 4. Seventy-four point two percent of Minnesotans 18 and older have completed the vaccine series.
