Minnesota Vikings held on to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 36-28 Thursday night after losing a 29-point lead on the Steelers late in the third quarter.

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in his faster-than-expected return from a shoulder injury, setting a franchise record with 153 rushing yards in the first half on 14 carries. The Vikings will visit the Chicago Bears next on December 20.

Jordan Greenway scored twice and the Minnesota Wild beat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 on Thursday night for their eighth straight win.

Kevin Fiala, Joel Eriksson Ek and Kirill Kaprizov also scored for the Wild, who took over the NHL lead with 39 points, their most through 26 games in franchise history.

Minnesota’s eight-game winning streak is the longest current run in the NHL and the third-longest in franchise history. The Wild have scored at least four goals in seven consecutive games.

St. Thomas men’s and women’s basketball teams have games Saturday, Dec. 11th in Schoenecker Arena. The Women’s team will take on Idaho State University at 1 pm and the Men will play Montana State University at 7.
