St. Thomas men’s basketball senior guard Anders Nelson has entered the transfer portal, according to verbalcommits.com. Nelson is listed as a graduate transfer.
Nelson was one of seven seniors that led St. Thomas in its inaugural Division I season. He finished with 422 points, averaging 14.6 a game and putting him 11th in the Summit League. Nelson led the Tommies with 80 assists.
Nelson joined the squad in the 2018-19 season and quickly established himself, becoming the first MIAC athlete to win National Rookie of the Year.
In four seasons, Nelson played 94 games and scored 1447 points. He was All-Conference twice and All-Rookie in his first year.
