The St. Thomas baseball team secured its first home series win of the season on Sunday. The team took 2 of 3 from Nebraska-Omaha at Koch Diamond.

Sophomore Joe Vos delivered the walk-off single on Sunday, following an impressive performance by starter Evan Esch.

St. Thomas softball was less fortunate this weekend, getting swept by South Dakota in a three game series in Vermillion.

In the series finale, the Tommies led by 7 runs in the top of the fourth. The Coyotes battled back with an nine-run inning that sank the Tommies’ chances.

The Minnesota Wild took a first-round exit yet again, losing 4-1 to the Dallas Stars in game six of the series.

This marks the seventh time the Wild has lost in the first round of the playoffs since 2016.
