The University of St. Thomas women’s basketball team is kicking off its season with fervor, having played two games already and preparing for a home game against Utah Valley University on Saturday, November 18.
Last season, the Tommies won against Utah Valley in their only prior encounter, but this time, the Wolverines seek redemption on St. Thomas’ home court. The game is set to take place at Schoenecker Arena in St. Paul.
St. Thomas volleyball sophomore libero Ella Voegele earned the Summit League’s final Defensive Peak Performer of the Week award, averaging 8.14 digs per set behind a 33-dig performance last Sunday.
Voegele closed the season as the only Summit League student-athlete to rank among the top two athletes in both total digs and digs per set.
