Opening Doors Campaign less than $50 million from goal

Wellness Center adds bikes for international students
The St. Thomas Wellness Center applied for and received a $2,500 grant last spring to teach about healthy living in the U.S. As a result, three new bicycles were added to increase access to healthy food choices.
School increases party crackdown
St. Thomas Neighborhood Liaison John Hershey said this year’s Tommie-Johnnie weekend caused the most significant negative feedback he’s received in his 14 years, and he believes police are more willing to enforce the social host ordinance now than ever before.
Students learn self-defense
A self-defense course was offered Oct. 19, designed for students who live on or near campus. The course’s goal was to promote campus safety and to spread awareness about the importance of personal protection.
