St. Thomas professors have started to transition from Blackboard to Canvas, a new instructional platform that technology consultants say will better suit the university’s needs.
Several positions eliminated in registrar consolidation
The office of the University Registrar and other departments are being consolidated to form a new entity called the Student Data and Compliance Office, which officials said will streamline student support practices and use technology to report and synthesize student data.
St. Thomas launches online counseling services
On Dec. 5, the University of St. Thomas formally launched Learn to Live which offers online programs and tools for students struggling with stress, depression, low mood or social anxiety.
Morrison Hall decked with inclusive signs
Signs reading “#MorrisonLOVES,” “Tommies Love Not Hate” and other sentiments about being one family decked the walls of Morrison Hall, but despite the hashtag, the goal wasn’t to bring attention on social media. Instead, they were intended to create an inclusive community on the university campus.
