Discussions for St. Thomas’ 2014 fiscal budget are in the works and when the St. Thomas Board of Trustees approves the university’s 2013-2014 budget on Feb. 14, revenue is expected to increase in the 2014 fiscal year.

Largest PULSE lineup fills both shows

Senior class gift voting begins
The Senior Class Gift Committee has worked to narrow down three possible choices for the graduating class’ gift. Starting on Monday, the senior class will be able to vote for the gift of its choice via an emailed survey.
Survey asks juniors to vote on 2014 commencement location
St. Thomas’ Class of 2014 is the largest to date with 1,539 students. However, with graduation only a year away, size is an issue for planning commencement, especially if it rains.

Netflix sucks up bandwidth on campus
In the last month, a St. Thomas IRT report estimated that 28 percent of bandwidth on campus came from students streaming Netflix, and another 12 percent came from flash video use.

Opening Doors Campaign exceeds $500 million goal, despite recession
The recession may have been a factor making it hard to fundraise for some nation-wide university campaigns, but it wasn’t for St. Thomas’ Opening Doors since they closed it $15 million over the $500 million goal.
