Tommies share unique Thanksgiving traditions
As Thanksgiving draws near, St. Thomas students plan to spend time with friends and family, partake in unique traditions, and think about what they’re thankful for this year.
Future still unknown for closed Common Ground house
The former Common Ground house, which was closed last spring because of safety concerns and overdue repairs, is currently under renovation.
There is no decision yet on what the house will be used for, according to Jacob Cunningham, VISION director.

Invisible Children club spreads word about Ugandan violence
More than 150 students gathered Tuesday night in the John R. Roach Center auditorium to watch a film and listen to a personal account of the violence child soldiers are subjected to in northern Uganda.
Students were able to gain an understanding of the violence occurring in Uganda as well as the Invisible Children organization’s role in stopping child soldier training and the massacre of innocent citizens.
Health Services offers flu shots in Murray-Herrick
Health Services and the Wellness Center are administering flu shots today in the Murray-Herrick atrium for students, faculty and staff members who want to prevent illness during the upcoming flu season.

During the fall months, the Twin Cities are bustling with festivals, markets, outdoor activities and a busy nightlife. One aspect of the cities’ active nightlife is the plethora of fall concerts.
Students unaware of leisure reading section
Every day, St. Thomas students filter in and out of O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library and usually pass right by the leisure reading section on their way to the computers or Coffee Bené.
The bookcase may seem small but the entire leisure reading section contains a surprising 312 titles including fiction, non-fiction, self-help books and cookbooks.
