At St. Thomas, it’s not uncommon to see squirrels frolicking in the grass, running up trees or jumping out of garbage cans. However, biology department chair Tim Lewis said the food the squirrels find in the garbage can hurt their health.

Softball sweeps St. Kate’s in doubleheader, captures 30th win
Sophomore outfielder Tisa Phinney’s home run and freshman Kendra Bowe’s hard-hitting pitches led the St. Thomas softball team to a 7-0, 11-0 sweep in a doubleheader against St. Catherine University Monday, April 23, at home.
Hodgson inducted into hometown Hall of Fame
Tom Hodgson, St. Thomas swimming coach was inducted into the 22nd annual Rochester Quarterbacks Club Hall of Fame Monday night. The Rochester Quarterbacks Club is an organization concerned with promoting Rochester sports and supporting the University of Minnesota.
St. Thomas, St. Kate’s seniors showcase artwork in Internal External exhibition
St. Catherine University held the opening reception for Internal External, the art department’s annual juried senior exhibition, on Friday, April 14. The exhibition will be open to the public until May 20. Check out photos from the galleries here.

St. Thomas varsity crew team rows into spring season
Fresh off of training in South Carolina over spring break, the St. Thomas varsity crew team is making strides. In May, the team will compete in the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta, which is the largest U.S. intercollegiate rowing event.
The other part of your college education
When forced to take classes that fulfill the core requirements, there’s more to the process than slogging through the class, collecting an ‘A’ and moving on with college. The core classes can be applied to the duration of one’s life.
