On April 21 at 12:46 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a neighbor complaint on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. A small group of unidentified individuals, reported loitering in a UST neighbor’s yard, could not be located upon officers’ search of the area.

On April 14 at 3:04 p.m., Public Safety documented a major network outage on the Minneapolis campus. Phone, computer and other resources were not available as a result of the loss of network connectivity in Minneapolis.
St. Thomas begins Earth Day week after second-place Recyclemania finish
In honor of Earth Day, several St. Thomas organizations are taking steps toward making the campus green and sustainable.
In the weeks leading up to Earth Day, St. Thomas participated in the annual Recyclemania challenge. St. Thomas finished second among Minnesota colleges behind Gustavus in the 2011 competition.

No Study Monday this fall during finals week
The change will push the original Study Monday to Thursday, Dec. 15, instead. Classes will end Wednesday, Dec. 14, and finals will begin Thursday night and continue Friday. Finals week will finish the following Wednesday, Dec. 21.

On April 8 at 1:33 p.m., Public Safety documented a noise/party complaint on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue. A UST neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding several residences on the block.
Anti-abortion group displays graphic images near campus
‘Survivors’, a California-based organization, set up large posters containing images of mutilated fetuses on the public sidewalk along Summit Avenue. The posters evoked a variety of reactions from St. Thomas students.
St. Kate’s student reports sexual assault on River Road
A St. Catherine University student reported that three men sexually assaulted her April 10, according to a Public Safety report.

On April 3 at 2:51 a.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious incident in John Paul II Residence Hall. A report of an intoxicated male wandering the building could not be verified upon officers’ search of the building.
Debate: 2012 presidential candidates
Debaters answered the questions: Who do you speculate will show up on the 2012 presidential ticket? Will Obama win another term? Or will he be a one-term president?
Debate: Voter ID bill
Republican leaders in about half the states, including Minnesota, are pushing legislation that would require voters to show photo ID at the polls. The Minnesota state senate will discuss the bill tomorrow afternoon.
