Students who typically drink tap water on campus may be temporarily out of luck.
Signs posted in the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library and Scooter’s informed students that tap water is currently unavailable.
According to the Physical Plant, the St. Paul Water Department is flushing out fire hydrants in the neighborhood, causing the water to turn brown.
Instead of using the free tap water at Scooter’s, cashier Courtney Brown said, “People are a little mad because they have to come back and buy drinks.”
The Physical Plant said the water should return to normal later today.
