St. Thomas biology students presented their research Thursday afternoon in Owens Science Hall. The researchers showed posters displaying their work in the halls of the first floor and also gave presentations in the 3M Auditorium.

Students help restore oak forest, one tree at a time
In partnership with Great River Greening, students will restore 10 acres of oak forest in the Fish Creek Natural Areas Greenway, located 20 minutes from the St. Paul campus in Maplewood, Minn.

St. Thomas band Asker to record album in Nashville
In April 2011, St. Thomas sophomores Alex Rollins, Jack Vondrachek and Alex Sullivan came together and formed the band Asker.
PULSE ‘Revival’ showcases 35 acts in front of largest audience ever
St. Thomas students had a reason to check their pulse Friday night as fans and members of PULSE gathered in Schoenecker Arena to watch “Revival,” a performance showcasing 35 acts.
Dowling, Ireland residents frustrated about returning bed lofts early
Freshmen students in Ireland and Dowling halls are returning their bed lofts on May 11 so they do not disrupt others studying for finals and can move out 24 hours after their last final.

Mifflin Street Block Party cracks down, some St. Thomas students still attending
The University of Wisconsin-Madison implemented new rules for Saturday’s Mifflin Street Block Party that discourage out-of-state students from attending. The new rules have been created in hopes of avoiding the out-of-control activity seen at last year’s event.
New justice and peace concentrations help guide students
With three new concentrations in the justice and peace studies department, the program plans to put St. Thomas students steps ahead of other universities’ majors.
