Mickett goes 4-4, St. Thomas softball walks off against South Dakota
The St. Thomas softball team salvaged the weekend series in spectacular fashion Sunday, winning 8-7 at South Field against South Dakota. Sophomore shortstop Sydney Mickett was the hero for the Tommies, hitting a two-run walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh inning to seal the comeback win.

St. Thomas softball lost three road games this weekend, falling twice to Bradley and once to Missouri in its third tournament of the season. St. Thomas men’s hockey was swept during the CCHA playoffs after falling 3-2 on Friday and 8-2 on Saturday to No. 1 Minnesota State Mankato at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato. The sweep put an end to the Tommies’ inaugural Division I season.
