Stephen Laumakis, director of the Aquinas Scholars Honors Program, said raising the honors GPA requirement to 3.6 instead of 3.5 will help distinguish who qualifies to be an honors student as the overall student GPA increases.

Students applying for more private scholarships
The amount of money new undergraduate students are bringing to St. Thomas from private financial scholarships is increasing, according to Kris Roach, St. Thomas’ director of admissions and financial aid.
