After a year of negotiating, Noodles & Company, located at 2110 Ford Parkway, has decided to accept the St. Thomas eXpress card.
On-campus cable programming gets an HD upgrade
On-campus cable programming was upgraded this semester, but only for students who have HD televisions. Students received an e-mail Sept.10 notifying them of the change that “some HDTV” channels would be available depending on TV and antennae.

Extended housing finds new home in Koch fitness center
With more than 1,500 freshmen on campus this fall, Residence Life was faced with finding room for them to live.
What Residence Life assistant director Bryan Helminiak called a “daunting task” was made easier this summer thanks to the construction of dorm rooms for 15 freshmen men in the basement of Koch Commons.
Professors teaching more classes to accommodate largest freshman class
Some of the challenges for St. Thomas administrators and professors were keeping class sizes down and ensuring class availability.

Twenty candidates are running for seven open positions, including a spot on the executive board, on the Undergraduate Student Government.
Fall elections begin Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. and will remain open until Friday, Sept. 17 at 9 p.m.

A ‘more proactive’ approach to foster better student, neighbor relations
As St. Thomas students return to campus, neighbors have definitely noticed an increase in local traffic.
“I personally look forward to the energy and vitality of students in the fall,” neighbor Scott Banas said. He said he enjoys the sound of students cheering at football games while raking his lawn.
Professor-ranking website major factor in class schedules
Sophomore Jerry Hills started using the popular website, ratemyprofessors.com, when he was a freshman.
“I had a few friends let me know what it was all about, and I thought it was really interesting to see how others thought my professors were like,” Hills said.
