As a busy college student, I rarely get an opportunity to enjoy the unique beauties of our campus. St. Thomas has many overlooked wonders and this is a list of my favorites.
24-hour news cycle too much to handle
News broadcasts are on the TVs as you work out, newspaper headlines catch your eye in the caf, and breaking online news stories are updated every few minutes. Readers can comment in real time. News stories spread across the globe faster than you can log on.

Letter to the editor: Students need to obey the law when crossing streets
A couple of days ago, I almost seriously injured two students who tried to cross Summit Avenue from north to south, at the crosswalk near Finn Street. I was traveling westbound on Summit behind another car as we approached the crosswalk (I live just east of St. Thomas on Portland, so I am well aware of the crosswalk).
Letter to the editor: UST should keep current smoking restrictions
