Freshman Taylor Berg and seniors Nikki Arola, Erin Sprangers and Kelly Russ ran the relay in 11:50.46, taking the title in Greencastle, Ind., with the fastest time by more than a second.

The St. Thomas baseball team lost 5-4 Wednesday in a nail-biting, 12-inning bout with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The game, which lasted almost four hours, was ended by Gophers’ sophomore Kurt Schlangen.
