Fifteen positive COVID-19 cases were reported last week by the St. Thomas’ Center for Well-Being, an increase of six from the previous week.

All 15 cases were from students at the St. Paul campus.

More than 2,700 St. Thomas community members and family members were vaccinated at a vaccination event in the McCarthy Gym on April 23, 24 and 26.

Community members that have been vaccinated at St. Thomas will be eligible to receive their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on May 14, 15 and 17. Appointment links were sent to community members Tuesday.

About 58% of the St. Thomas community is now fully or partially vaccinated, according to data from the University Action and Response Team.

The Minnesota Department of Health has reported more than 2.5 million Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the vaccine and more than 1.9 million are fully vaccinated.

According to the university’s COVID-19 Dashboard, more than 50% of quarantine spaces are available and the university’s contact tracing staff are able to interview 90-to-100% of positive cases reported to the university within 24 hours, over a seven-day average.

St. Thomas releases COVID-19 data every Monday, and it is available on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
