Four St. Paul firefighters have been hurt while battling a house fire.
The fire in the 1400 block of St. Alban’s Street was reported by a passer-by about 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2.
One firefighter was injured when he entered the burning home and fell through the floor into the basement. He suffered second-degree burns on his leg.
St. Paul Fire Marshal Steve Zaccard said the firefighter was rescued by fellow firefighters and treated at Regions Hospital. Two other firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and another for falling on the ice.
