EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Police are still searching for a 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman, a day after the man wanted for questioning in her disappearance shot himself in the head in the police parking lot.
Eden Prairie Police Lt. Bill Wyffels says Mandy Marie Matula was reported missing Thursday morning after she didn’t show up for work. Police believe she was with 24-year-old David Marshall Roe of Victoria in Miller Park early Thursday.
Wyffels said the two had a romantic relationship previously, but were no longer dating.
Roe agreed to speak with police, but shot himself in his vehicle in the department’s parking lot. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that police did not update Roe’s condition Friday. Police said Roe, a former St. Thomas student and athlete, was unable to provide information.
