The men’s cross country team took first place out of three teams Saturday at the St. Kate’s Invitational. St. Thomas placed five runners in the top eight to beat Luther and Hamline.

Sophomore Ben Sathre and senior Brian Sames finished second and third behind Hamline senior Ian Bauer. Seniors Mike Connell and George Williams finished fifth and seventh for St. Thomas.

The Tommies’ top seven head to Ohio next weekend for the Region Rumble, while the rest of the team travels to Wisconsin for the Wisconsin-LaCrosse Jim Drews Invite.
