The St. Thomas men’s hockey team is looking to pick up where it left off last year when it finished third in the MIAC.
Jeff Boeser was named interim head coach last season after Terry Skrypek retired. Skrypek had 419 career wins in 23 years of coaching St. Thomas hockey.
Senior captain Andy Kappers said the players are in good hands.
“He’s been here for a while,” Kappers said. “He knows the ins and outs of hockey. We’re excited to have him as a coach.”
Boeser said he knows this will not be an easy season.
“I think across the board, our league is probably as strong as it has ever been, top to bottom,” Boeser said. “Everybody’s had a real good recruiting year and I don’t think there are going to be any easy games this year.”
