St. Thomas sophomore Kyra Winslow died in a car crash Saturday in Wisconsin.

Winslow’s visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 2-8 p.m.. Her funeral service will be on Monday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., both in St. Michael, Minnesota.

Eau Claire, Wisconsin bound, Winslow and her friend who also died, were traveling on Interstate 94.

An on-campus service is currently being planned.

Counseling and Psychological services and the Center for Campus Ministry are available for any community members in need of support.

Twelve St. John Vianney Seminary students tested positive for COVID-19 Friday.

According to a Center for Well-Being email, all SJV Seminary students have been asked to quarantine for two weeks.

Amid this breakout, the university has conducted target testing of approximately 100 SJV students. Contact tracing is also underway.

The first COVID-19 vaccination program in a western country began Tuesday in the U.K..

The vaccine has been developed by U.S. drugmaker Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech.

British regulators approved the vaccine last week.

This program will likely provide lessons for other countries as they begin the process of vaccinating.
