In his State of the Union speech Tuesday, President Donald Trump addressed all of Washington to cast aside “revenge, resistance and retribution” and to also end “ridiculous partisan investigations.” In his 82 minute speech, Trump also touched on topics such as infrastructure, drug costs, cancer in children and called for Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the “late-term abortion of children.” Trump would go on to plead for his request of building the wall by saying, “defend our very dangerous southern border out of love and devotion to our fellow citizens and our country.”

Minneapolis Police have identified the suspect that is accused of shooting a 82-year-old school bus driver Tuesday. Kenneth W. Lilly, 31, is accused of shooting the school bus on Interstate 35W near Chicago Avenue in an act of road rage.

State Patrol Officers quickly responded to the scene and arrested Lilly who was holding what was believed to be a semiautomatic. Lilly has been arrested and was booked at Hennepin County Jail and is to be charged with second-degree assault. The driver was taken to HCMC for surgery for noncritical injuries, the student was unharmed in the incident.

Finally, President Donald Trump announced he will be meeting with North Korea Leader Kim Jung Un on Feb. 27-28 in Vietnam in efforts to persuade Kim to give up his nuclear weapons. Both Leaders have previously met in Singapore last June to discuss peace and denuclearization. Trump also spoke about this in his speech Tuesday by saying, “If I had not been elected President of the United States, we would right now, in my opinion, be in a major war with North Korea.” Last year, North Korea released American prisoners, suspended nuclear and long-range missile tests and also dismantled a nuclear test site.
