The New York Times reports that president Donald Trump paid only 750 dollars in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017. The reports obtained years’ worth of tax return data that the president had long fought to keep private.
According to the times, he paid no income taxes whatsoever in 10 of the previous 15 years, largely because he reported losing more money than he made.
Minneapolis is currently applying for a 2-to-3 million dollar grant to cover a shortfall of roughly one-point-four million dollars for election costs due to coronavirus precautions.The grant will come from the Chicago-based nonprofit center for tech and civic life.
The Minnesota voters alliance, a Minnesota voter advocacy group, is suing Minneapolis to block it from accepting money. The group argues that the city cannot accept funds from private organizations for election costs.
A St. Thomas student was assaulted at the intersection of Summit Ave. and Mississippi River Blvd. at Shadow Falls Park, St. Thomas public safety issued a campus-wide alert about the incident on Saturday.
The incident was reported to public safety by the st. paul police department at about 12:38 a.m. Saturday.
In its campus-wide alert, Public Safety asked that those with relevant information contact public safety or the st. paul police department.
