The Ramadan Iftar Dinner was held in the Anderson Student Center Wolfe Alumni Hall on Wednesday, May 8.
The Iftar Dinner is a dinner where attendees come together and break their fast for one of the days of Ramadan. In addition to this, it is to bring attendants together to celebrate and remind each other of the spirit of Ramadan.
Yusuf Mohamoud serves as the Muslim Student Association president, and was largely responsible for the organization of the Dinner at St. Thomas. To him, the dinner has a great impact within the Muslim community.
“This is a chance to acknowledge all of those who have done so much service for the Muslim community, since appreciation is a key principle in our religion,” said Mohamoud.
