On Sept. 1, 2013 at 12:40 a.m., Public Safety documented a noise complaint outside John Paul ll Hall on the volleyball courts. The group of students causing noise left on the officer’s request.

On Sept. 1, 2013 at 1:30 a.m., Public Safety documented a welfare check. Officers helped a parent with a welfare check in Brady Residence Hall. The student was found and was OK.

On Sept. 1, 2013 at 1:47 a.m., Public Safety documented a liquor law violation in Ireland Residence Hall. An underage student was sent off campus with a sober caregiver. PublicSafety_Briefs_PHOTO

On Sept. 1, 2013 at 6:39 p.m., Public Safety documented a full building alarm in 2171 Grand Ave. A St. Thomas who left food cooking unattended in their residence caused the alarm.

On Sept. 2, 2013 at 12:30 a.m., Public Safety documented a disturbance on the 1800 block of Portland Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department had cited two unidentified occupants of a house on the block for underage consumption and a social host violation.

On Sept. 2, 2013 at 8:58 p.m., Public Safety documented a Dining Services employee that cut her finger and declined further medical attention.

On Sept. 2, 2013 at 11:09 p.m., Public Safety documented a liquor law violation in the Anderson Student Center. An underage student was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On Sept. 2, 2013 at 1:37 a.m., Public Safety documented a liquor law violation in the Lower Quad. A student fled from officers, but was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On Sept. 3, 2013 at 8:09 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Murray Residence Hall. A Residence Life staff member reported a student wrote an obscene message on another student’s marker board.

On Sept. 3, 2013 at 9:34 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A student reported his or her phone was stolen, but it was later found in possession of the student’s friends.

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 3:24 p.m., Public Safety documented a motor vehicle theft on the 1900 block of Grand Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported a student’s vehicle was stolen from his driveway behind his home, but was later recovered.

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 3:51 p.m., Public Safety documented stolen property on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. A stolen St. Thomas bean bag target was found in the backyard of a residence on the block and returned to campus.

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 4:56 p.m., Public Safety and the Metro Transit Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 2100 block of Grand Avenue. A student’s car was rear ended by a Metro Transit bus and the student suffered minor injuries.

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 9:47 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft from a vehicle on 11th Street at Harmon Place. A student reported the driver’s side window was smashed and his backpack and some other items were stolen.

On Sept. 7, 2013 at 12:49 a.m., Public Safety documented two liquor law violations and one drug law violation in Brady Residence Hall. One student consumed and possessed alcohol and possessed marijuana paraphernalia. Two students and three underage guests also consumed alcohol.

On Sept. 7, 2013 at 1:25 p.m., Public Safety documented a medical in O’Shaughnessy Stadium. A student who had fainted due to heat-related illness was assisted by medics and declined further attention.

On Sept. 7, 2013 at 11:15 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the Anderson Student Center. An unidentified individual ran through the first floor nude, but could not be located by officers who searched the area.

On Sept. 7, 2013 at 11:04 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Police documented a noise and party complaint on the 300 block of Cleveland Avenue North. 13 students and four non-students were cited for underage consumption and four were also cited for social host.
