On Jan. 1, 2014, at 1:01 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Morrison Hall. An intoxicated underage student, also found in possession of marijuana, and an intoxicated underage guest were sent home with a sober caregiver.
On Jan. 1, 2014, at 3:05 a.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas student near Cretin Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard. The student, whose vehicle had spun out and become stuck in snow, was able to get his vehicle out under its own power.
On. Jan. 1, 2014, at 3:15 a.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A St. Thomas student provided her university ID and key to a guest for the purposes of allowing access to third parties in violation of residential policy.
On. Jan 1, 2014, at 5:30 a.m., Public Safety reported damage to property in Brady Residence Hall. Three windows in the sixth floor lounge, furniture, and mirrors in the restroom were damaged.
On Jan. 2, 2014, at 2:21 p.m., Public Safety documented damage to property in Morrison Hall R3 Parking Garage. A St. Thomas vehicle was discovered to have minor damage to the front passenger side.
On Jan. 2, 2014, at 4:01 p.m., Public Safety documented a motor vehicle accident in Lot A. A St. Thomas student reported he backed into a St. Thomas employee’s parked vehicle, causing minor damage to the student’s vehicle.
On Jan. 2, 2014, at 11:47 p.m., Public Safety documented a damage to property in Flynn Residence Hall. A glass water bottle had been thrown at and damaged a wall in the fourth floor hallway.
On Jan. 3, 2014, at 2:26 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance on the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. A student, reported as intoxicated and attempting to access a neighbor’s residence, was located at his residence and was safe.
On Jan. 4, 2014, at 4:25 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Flynn Residence Hall. Through investigation, a food delivery person was found to have left black marker graffiti in the vestibule of the main Flynn entrance.
On Jan 6, 2014, at 4:06 p.m., Public Safety documented a hit and run in Lot A. A St. Thomas student reported his parked vehicle was hit, causing minor damage to the front bumper.
On Jan. 6, 2014, at 10:05 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with suspicious activity in Ireland Residence Hall. While investigating property damage in the lower level men’s restroom, four underage students and an underage guest were found to have consumed alcohol.
On Jan. 7, 2014, at 9:08 p.m., Public Safety and Minneapolis Fire Department responded to a full building fire alarm in Terrence Murphy Hall . A burst pipe caused a large amount of water to collect outside of Terrence Murphy Hall, and flood as well as flood and soak carpeting in nearby suites.
On Jan. 8, 2014, at 11:25 a.m., Public Safety responded to a full building fire alarm at Saint Paul Seminary Residence. A burst pipe in the east stairwell caused a large amount of water to flood rooms on multiple floors.
On Jan. 8, 2014, at 1:18 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Minneapolis Opus Hall. An unidentified individual, who an employee reported was found in a secured area of the Inter Professional Center, could not be located upon officers’ search of the area.
On Jan. 8, 2014, at 2:13 p.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation at O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A library staff member reported a St. Thomas employee was found smoking in the lower level restroom.
