On Feb. 21, 2013 at 5:20 p.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 1800 block of Portland Avenue. A St. Thomas neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding the occupants of an address on the block.
On Feb. 21, 2013 at 10:14 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana, related paraphernalia and a fraudulent ID card.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 6 a.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 800 block of Kenneth Street. A St. Thomas neighbor reported she found suspicious footprints and a St. Thomas student’s ID card outside of her residence.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 11:19 a.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. Marijuana related paraphernalia was recovered from the lower level landing of the west Brady stairwell.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 5 p.m., Public Safety assisted the Student Affairs division with documenting suspicious activity in Morrison Residence Hall. Student Affairs reported social media sites posting lewd content regarding the university.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 5:11 p.m., Public Safety responded to reckless driving in Lot M. A St. Thomas student accelerating his vehicle at a high rate of speed through the lot and intentionally spinning his vehicle out was identified by officer.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 5:56 p.m., Public Safety documented harassment in School of Divinity. A School of Divinity faculty member reported receiving multiple unwanted and inappropriate phone contacts from an unaffiliated St. Thomas individual.
On Feb. 22, 2013 at 11:18 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student possessed marijuana related paraphernalia and a second student possessed a fake driver’s license.
On Feb. 23, 2013 at 1:35 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student who was in crisis and expressed concerns about hurting themselves was taken by a friend to an area hospital for further medical attention.
On Feb. 23, 2013 at 2:44 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Morrison Residence Hall. An underage St. Thomas student, found to have consumed alcohol off campus by St. Catherine University Public Safety staff, was also in possession of alcohol.
On Feb. 23, 2013 at 9:05 a.m., Public Safety reported a vehicle tow in Morrison R2 Ramp. A motorcycle parked in the ramp, with unknown ownership, that amassed excessive citations, was cited by St. Paul Parking Enforcement and towed from campus.
On Feb. 23, 2013 at 10:14 p.m., Public Safety reported tampering with fire safety equipment in Ireland Residence Hall. An extinguisher on the third floor was forcibly removed from its case, illegally discharged and discarded by two students, and has not been recovered.
On Feb. 23, 2013 at 10:15 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a welfare check in John Paul II Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student who was in crisis and expressed concerns about hurting themselves was sent home with parents.
On Feb. 24, 2013 at 3:24 p.m., Public Safety assisted NCAA officials in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. Three non-St. Thomas affiliated individuals, ejected from a basketball game in AARC, were identified by officers and escorted of the building.
On Feb. 24, 2013 at 8:41 p.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity in the Anderson Student Center. Two prescription medication pills, found by a St. Thomas student in a third floor meeting room,were secured as found property inventory.
On Feb. 24, 2013 at 9:30 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported she received unwanted contact from a second student, insisting she help him make contact with a third student regarding a personal matter.
On Feb. 24, 2013 at 9:43 p.m., Public Safety reported theft of services in the Anderson Parking Facility. A St. Thomas student was found to have used their ID card to allow a second student to exit the ramp in a vehicle without authorization.
On Feb. 25, 2013 between 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft from vehicle in Lot 3. The driver’s side window of a St. Thomas student’s vehicle was smashed and a GPS unit was stolen.
On Feb. 25, 2013 at 11:53 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical in Byrne Residence, which is located on South Campus and belongs to the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis. A Byrne resident was found deceased in his apartment due to unknown circumstances.
On Feb. 25 , 2013 at 5:21 p.m., Public Safety documented harassment in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported she was receiving ongoing unwanted, negative contacts from a second student she was formerly in a relationship with.
On Feb. 26, 2013 at 5:30 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 2100 block of Dayton Avenue. A St. Thomas student reported an unidentified individual, he woke to find in his unsecured residence, fled the scene on foot and nothing appeared to have been taken.
On Feb. 26, 2013 at 11:56 a.m., Public Safety documented a vehicle accident in the Anderson Parking Facility. A St. Thomas employee reported he struck a student’s parked vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles, but no injuries.
On Feb. 26, 2013 at 9:53 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student, who struck and cut his head, was taken by a friend to an area hospital for further medical attention.
On Feb. 27, 2013 at 2:17 p.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity in Terrence Murphy Hall. An underage St. Thomas student’s wallet, turned in as found property inventory, was found to have an ID card for an of age individual.
On Feb. 27, 2013 between 1:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., Public Safety documented a burglary in Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported his laptop and iPhone were taken from his unsecured residence while he was sleeping.
Between Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, 2013, Public Safety reported theft in John Paul II Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students reported pieces of their unattended clothing were taken from dryers in the JP2 laundry room.
