On March 1, 2013 at 4:19 a.m., Public Safety reported damage to property in Koch Commons. The lower glass pane of the lower level west Koch diebold door was kicked by an unidentified suspect and damaged.
Between Feb. 28 and March 1, Public Safety documented a theft on the 300 block of Cleveland Avenue. A St. Thomas student reported his iPad was stolen from his off campus residence.
On March 1, 2013, at 6:01 p.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas student with a welfare check in Anderson Student Center. A second student, who was in crisis, was assisted by officers and Personal Counseling and provided with additional resources.
On March 1, 2013, at 6:45 p.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 2000 block of Dayton Avenue. A report of a large group of people coming and going from a residence on the block could not be verified upon officers’ check of the area.
On March 2, 2013 at 4:09 a.m., Public Safety documented property damage on the University of Minnesota campus. The University of Minnesota Police Department reported an underage intoxicated St. Thomas student was arrested for damaging a vehicle parked in the Oak Street Ramp
On March 2, 2013 at 10:38 a.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas parent with a welfare check in Brady Residence Hall. The parent’s student, who had not arrived home as planned, was later located by the parent and was OK.
On March 2, 2013, at 10:50 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Cretin Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student experiencing severe back pain was taken by a parent to an area hospital for further medical attention.
On March, 2, 2013 at 11:39 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. A St. Thomas employee reported a non-St. Thomas affiliated individual’s behavior made staff and students in the chapel uncomfortable.
On March 3, 2013 at 12:41 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation on the Upper Quad. An underage intoxicated St. Thomas student was sent off campus with a family member.
On March 3, 2013 at 4:44 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage outside of Brady Educational Center. Stenciled paint graffiti was found in multiple locations around the exterior of Brady.
On March 3, 2013 at 11:45 p.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity outside of Minneapolis Opus Hall. Four unidentified juveniles, observed in the skyway system in violation of Minneapolis curfew ordinance, were escorted out by ABM private security staff.
On March 4, 2013 at 11:27 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A St. Thomas student who fainted was escorted to Student Health Services for further medical attention.
On March 4, 2013 at 3:20 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas employee reported an unsecured employee laundry and changing area was rummaged through, but nothing was missing or stolen.
On March 4, 2013 at time unknown, Public Safety documented damage to property in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas employee reported a column across from the Tommie Central desk was gouged and scratched through unknown circumstances.
On March 5, 2013 at 12:16 p.m., Public Safety documented a safety concern in Morrison Hall. Campus Life staff reported a non-St. Thomas affiliated political group may be planning to come on campus and access residence halls without authorization.
On March 5, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A St. Thomas student reported his wallet stolen from an unsecured locker in the men’s locker room.
On March 6, 2013 at 12:38 p.m., Public Safety assisted ELS staff in Summit Classroom Building. Officers were requested to be present for a meeting between ELS staff and a former ELS student and St. Thomas student, who had previously been belligerent with staff.
On March 6, 2013 at 2:10 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A St. Thomas student reported her unattended laptop was stolen from the lower level of the library.
On March 6, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas staff member in Morrison Hall. The staff member reported they were having ongoing child custody issues with a former spouse and wanted information documented as a precaution.
On March 7, 2013 at 1:36 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. A St. Thomas student with a cut on his chin was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.
On March 7, 2013 at 1:52 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in 2175 Grand Ave. A St. Thomas student who previously slipped on ice and injured his back was taken by a friend to an area hospital for further medical attention.
