Louisiana State University beat Iowa 102-85 in the NCAA Women’s Championship game Sunday afternoon.

Jasmine Carson scored 22 points, Alexis Morris added 21 and Angel Reese has 15 points and 10 rebounds for LSU.

Iowa’s Caitlin Clark also set the record for most points scored in a NCAA tournament run with 191 points.

St. Thomas softball dropped the first two games of the home opener Sunday. The team lost 2-0 and 4-1 to South Dakota State. The series finale is Monday afternoon.

St. Thomas Track and Field had several athletes compete in a large field Saturday and Sunday at the Wartburg College Select meet.

Morey Smith, Caden Nordbergand and went first, second and third out of 36 runners in the 800 meter.
