The St. Thomas baseball team suffered a three-game sweep by South Dakota State this weekend during the matchup on Saturday and the doubleheader on Sunday. Despite the Tommie’s loss, graduate student Graham Laubscher broke the record for career strikeouts during his game on Saturday. The previous record was 269 strikeouts, Graham now has 275.
Tommie softball lost two games this Saturday in Kansas City. Game one ended with a loss of 6-4, and game two ended 4-3. However, the team rallied for a win on Sunday, securing a 3-2 victory against the Kansas City Roos. Sophomore Katie Goelz scored a home run to help her team obtain an early lead. Tommie softball will head to Green Bay, Wisconsin this Wednesday for a doubleheader.
Target Center hosted the Women’s Final Four title game. South Carolina overpowered UConn 64-49, eventually taking home the national crown in NCAA women’s basketball.
