On Saturday the 24th, the St. Thomas Men’s Hockey team fell to Bemidji State 3-to-1 at the St. Thomas Ice Arena despite a heroic effort from junior goaltender Jake Sibell.
Five different goal scorers and 20 saves from their graduate student goaltender Calla Frank led the St. Thomas women’s hockey team to a thrilling 5-to-4 overtime victory over Minnesota State in the final regular season game of the year.
Both goaltenders in Saturday’s matchup were the same who stood in the net on Friday night when St. Thomas broke their seven-game losing streak at the expense of the Mavericks.
The St. Thomas women’s basketball team collided with the conference-leading Jackrabbits and were handed their fifth loss in a row and second loss in a row by more than 30 points. The final score was 97 to 63.
