The St. Thomas swim and dive team competed in their last meet before the MIAC championship this past weekend at the University of Minnesota Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

St. Thomas won eight men’s and two women’s events at the Minnesota Challenge and had 17 men and seven women place in the top three. The MIAC Championship meet will take place February 12th-15th at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

The St. Thomas women’s hockey team will host University of Wisconsin River Falls this Wednesday at 7pm. The Falcons are currently ranked 8th in the country. The Tommies recently beat the St. Katherine Wildcats 3-0 and 7-1 this past weekend in their MIAC series.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. 24-year-old quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was selected Super Bowl MVP, led the Chiefs to 21 straight points in the final 6:13 for a 31-20 victory Sunday over the 49ers.

This is the second Super Bowl title for the Chiefs, as the last time the team won the Super Bowl was in 1970 against the Minnesota Vikings.
