St. Thomas softball lost 8-0 to Murray State and won 5-4 to Evansville Sunday in Murray, Kentucky.
The win against Evansville featured a dominant pitching performance by first-year Christina Crawford, who had 19 strikeouts on the day. The victory also snapped a 13-game losing streak for St. Thomas.
Tommies baseball fell 8-0 and 3-2 to Northwestern on Sunday in Evanston, Illinois. The second game was a heartbreaking ninth inning walk off.
First-year Walker Retz was solid in the second game, only allowing one run off of one hit in his seven innings of play.
St. Thomas women’s tennis earned its first Division I victory in a 7-0 sweep against Western Illinois on Sunday.
The Tommies won 64 out of 97 singles games after taking two wins in doubles matches.
