The St. Thomas football team beat Butler 27-13 and claimed the Pioneer Football League title on Saturday in Indianapolis.

In their second season of Division I, the Tommies went undefeated in their conference, broke into the FCS Top 25 rankings and hoisted the PFL trophy.

The St. Thomas men’s basketball team beat Troy and Merrimack in the Zootown Classic in Montana over the weekend. The women’s team beat Presbyterian 67-41 on Saturday.

The Minnesota Vikings lost 40-3 against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, ending their seven-game winning streak.

The United States opens World Cup play in Qatar today against Wales, kicking off their return to the World Cup after missing the 2018 tournament in Russia.
