St. Thomas women’s basketball extends its winning streak to three after beating the UW-Superior Yellowjackets 78-60 Wednesday night at Schoenecker Arena. The Tommies dominated in the paint to begin the game, rattling off their first 15 points inside before junior guard Macy Hatlestad nailed a three from the corner. The Tommies travel to St. Kate’s Saturday for a 3 p-m tipoff.
After an exhilarating MIAC championship win in a penalty shootout over Augsburg, the St. Thomas women’s soccer team earned an automatic bid into the 2019 Division-3 NCAA tournament. The St. Thomas women’s soccer team will advance to the sweet 16– the first group to do so since 2002. The No. 19 Tommies will travel to Illinois to face the No. 6 Wheaton College Thunder today.
The No. 25-ranked Tommie men’s cross country team received one of 16 at-large spots and will race in Louisville tomorrow. The Tommies have a team in the NCAA field for the third time in six seasons and the 27th time in program history. The 32-team race starts Saturday at noon.
