The St. Thomas’ football team defeated the Valparaiso Beacons 20-to-13 in their homecoming game Saturday. Senior Tom Loeffler ran for two touchdowns in the second and third quarters and junior defensive back Johnson Fallah ran an interception back for a 7-yard score. The Tommies will travel to DeLand, Florida to face Stetson University on October 16.

First-year swimmer Alex Fotii broke a school record in the one-thousand yard freestyle in St. Thomas swimming’s home opener against Division-two Augustana University Saturday at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex Pool. In his college swimming debut … Foti broke the record by 3 one hundreths of a second with a final time of nine minutes, forty eight point five-six seconds.
