St. Thomas volleyball fell short to South Dakota in Vermillion last night. Following the three-set match, the Tommies now sit at four wins and 13 losses this season and zero wins in the Summit League. Sophomore outside hitter Tezra Rudzitis led the team with nine kills and sophomore setter Keya Luta Win Hunt had a season high 13 assists.
The women’s golf team wrapped up the Tommie Invitational yesterday, doing so in grand fashion. Their tournament win is the team’s second win in a row, finishing 11 strokes over second place South Dakota State. First-year Kathryn VanArragon won the individual title and was the only golfer out of the 24-player field to finish under par.
Men’s hockey will play the Minnesota Gophers tonight at the Xcel Energy Center and tomorrow at the 3M Arena at Mariucci. The Gophers are currently ranked second in the nation. Many St. Thomas students scored tickets to tonight’s sold-out game.
