The St. Thomas men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Summit League Championships Saturday in Brookings, South Dakota.
Junior Molly Desotell set a school record and earned all-league second team honors for the women. The women finished fifth of seven teams while the men finished fourth of seven teams.
Also on Saturday, the St. Thomas football team defeated the Marist College Red Foxes 49-14 at O’Shaughnessy Stadium.
The Tommies steamrolled Marist to pick up their 30th consecutive home victory on the 35-degree day. This is the team’s fifth conference win of the season, improving their season record to six wins and three losses.
Volleyball defeated the University of North Dakota 3-1 on Saturday at Schoenecker Arena in front of a crowd of 520 people. The Fighting Hawks had previously swept the Tommies 0-3.
