Minnesota Timberwolves players and staff participated in a player-led icebreaker game of slow-pitch softball on the St. Thomas baseball field.

Multiple St. Thomas students and staff watched and took photos from nearby as the team played the game to varying degrees of success, cheering each other on the whole time.

Over the weekend, the St. Thomas women’s tennis team competed at the Gopher Invitational, starting strong with two individual match wins and two doubles team wins.

Joe Ryan pitched shutout ball for the second straight outing and become only the second Minnesota starter to reach the eighth inning this season, leading the Twins over the AL-Central leading Cleveland Guardians 3-0 on Sunday.

The Twins currently sit six games back in the A-L central race.
