St. Thomas graduate student Olivia DeMeuse died after being hit by a car while walking on April 16, according to a statement from the St. Thomas Newsroom.

DeMeuse’s younger sisters, Stella and Whitney, are undergraduate students at St. Thomas.

“We join her loved ones in grieving this tragic loss,” the university said in its statement.

This is the fourth death involving a student in the St. Thomas community this school year, following the deaths of undergraduate students Kyra Winslow, Erika Cruz and Kailin Wang.
