The cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul have stopped requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test at restaurants. As a result, the University Action and Response team released a statement announcing the university would discontinue the steps taken to comply with the city rules.

Dining halls are now open to the public and students no longer need to provide IDs, vaccine records or COVID-19 test results at campus events that serve food or beverages.

The university took measures on Jan. 18. CDC data shows a 61.47% drop in infections and a 38.16% drop in hospitalizations over the past seven days in Ramsey County.

Face masks continue to be required on campus.
