The St. Thomas softball team salvaged the weekend series in spectacular fashion Sunday, winning 8-7 at South Field against South Dakota. Sophomore shortstop Sydney Mickett was the hero for the Tommies, hitting a two-run walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh inning to seal the comeback win.
The St. Thomas softball team dropped both games 10-2 and 9-0 in the home-opening doubleheader Saturday against the University of South Dakota at South Field.
The St. Thomas women’s basketball team was roughed up by conference-leading University of South Dakota, falling 73-46 Thursday at Schoenecker Arena.
A kill by junior middle blocker Maddison Harms of the University of South Dakota in the fourth set ended the Tommies final home game of it’s inaugural Division I season 3-1 Saturday at Schoenecker Arena.
