Hurricane Ian moved near the Cayman Islands and closer to western Cuba early Monday on a track to hit Florida as a major hurricane this week.
“Presidential Alert” emergency test reaches St. Thomas phones at different times
The Federal Emergency Management Agency scheduled its first national wireless test of the emergency alert system at 1:18 p.m. CDT Oct. 3. Some St. Thomas students received the alert sporadically, or not at all.
