In a back-and-forth battle, St. Thomas secured a 4-3 win against St. Mary’s thanks to senior forward Spencer Zwiener’s go-ahead goal, his second goal of the game, with just under five minutes left in the third period in the Tommies’ last home game as a Division III and MIAC member school. First-year defender Kimball Johnson’s goal in the middle of the third period tied up the St. Thomas and St. John’s men’s hockey teams, but neither team was able to get another biscuit in the basket in the overtime period, leaving the game at a 2-2 tie at Saint Thomas Ice Arena Friday night.
