The St. Thomas football team defeated Drake University 21-14 Saturday, St. Thomas men and women’s swim and dive teams both placed last against St. Cloud State University and Minnesota State University-Mankato, the St. Thomas women’s volleyball team lost in three sets to Oral Roberts in Tulsa and the St. Thomas women’s basketball team lost its home opener to Illinois State 70-55 on Saturday. First-year soccer forward Faris Colic scored the lone goal on the game Saturday against Nebraska-Omaha, the men’s hockey team secured its first Division I victory this season and the women’s hockey team couldn’t find its momentum in a 7-0 loss against University of Minnesota-Duluth.
